What Kind Of Jobs You Need To Get A Place Of Your Own?

May 10, 2025 //  by Chime N.U

Let us be real- we have worried about the stability of our jobs at one point when trying to move out for the first time. Well, what kind of jobs you need to get a place of your own?

You need a reliable job that will cover your monthly bills and personal needs. How much you need for an apartment will depend on the kind of job you have. This is because low paying jobs limit your choices of apartments, while a good paying job expands them.

On this episode of the WeeklyBagel Podcast, I break down exactly the kind of jobs and paychecks you need to make moving out. This is not just about making rent monthly. It is also about handling sudden financial emergencies when they arise.

With a low paying check, you will starve yourself trying to make rent. This is why I discussed which industries will pay you at least $18 per hour with no experience. Also, I listed examples of jobs in each industry and how to go about applying for them. This includes vocations willing to train you as an apprentice.

The jobs I talked about in this episode will help you save for six months before moving out. Remember the goal is not just to afford rent, but also to handle your monthly expenses while retaining a little money for savings monthly. It is how you make sure you do not move back into your parents’ house again.

So, grab a pen and a journal. Hit play, so we can explore the idea of jobs which will offer some semblance of financial security. This is at least, until you are able to level up and go for something better!
