For a while now, I have been looking for a debit card I could use to tackle miscellaneous expenses. A cash app card came to mind, so I applied for one. I was amazed at how customizable the card was and it was easy to get. But, the thing which got me most was how easy it was to activate a cash app debit card.

The process did not take more than a minute. This is as long as you do it using the QR code which comes with the card. Speaking of QR code, there are two ways you could activate a cash app debit card. You can either activate cash card in cash app with QR code or do it without the QR code.

When you apply for a cash app debit card, there is a paper that comes with your card. At least, mine came with a paper which had a QR code on it. So, how did I activate my cash app?

• On the top left corner of the app, tap on the QR sign.
• The camera will open and scan the QR code that came with the paper.

Your cash app card will be activated immediately. You can start using the cash card to make purchases. Unless you have lost the paper with the QR code, it is that easy. In case you lose it, here is what you could do to unlock your cash app card.

How To Activate Cash App Without QR Code

You can activate your Cash App debit card without a QR code. All hope is not lost, if you lost the paper with the QR code. There is another way to activate your cash app card. The following below is what I want you to do.

• Login to cash app.
• On the left bottom of the app, tap on the card sign.
• You will see the Activate cash card. Select the option.
• Select the option to activate without a QR code
• Then, enter the cash card details like the CVV number and expiration date to activate.

Your card will be activated after the last step. There is a way you can check to see whether the card is activated. On the next paragraph, I am going to talk about it in detail.

What I did when I first activated my cash app card was to login on the app. Then, tap on the card icon on the bottom left. My customized card is shown on there with the color and the words I scribbled on it during my personal customization.

Why Is My Cash Card Not Unlocking?

If your cash app is not activating, it could be due to a number of reasons. Firstly, your cash app account could be suspended. In this situation, you need to get your account unsuspended before you can attempt to unlock your cash app card.

Secondly, cash app may be experiencing a glitch. I would recommend you contact the cash app with this issue. It will look into it and fix it for you.

Lastly, your phone’s camera may not be picking up the QR code for the activation. Or, you may have missed some digits during the manual activation. So, be sure you are being meticulous with what is required of you.

I am sure it will resolve once you work on these three. You cannot use your cash app card to cash out at ATM, after you deposit a check on cash app. Hence, the importance of resolving this issue so you can have the full benefit of a cash app account.

Usually, the card activation process goes smoothly. This is as long as you activate the card as soon as you get it. It is always a good idea to do it within the week of receiving the new card.
