Cash App is one of my favorite financial technologies. I find its cash card replacing my bank’s debit card in almost daily financial transactions. This includes paying for my daily caffeine addiction to filling up my car gas weekly. Sometimes, I even use it to send money to friends and family. When doing all of these, I am constantly aware of Cash App limits.
This is because when you get close to it, you notice certain services are not able to go on as usual. What do I mean by this, my good reader?
In as much as I am able to use the cash card for almost all my minor daily transactions, each Cash App transaction has a limit attached to it. By different transactions, here is what I mean below.
- Cash App ATM withdrawals
- Deposit limit
- Borrow limit
- Send money limit
Oh yes, all the above kinds of transactions have these limits attached to them. On this article, I will be discussing what each is, so you will always know when to stop. Having said, here is what I want you to about each one below.
Cash App Borrow Limit
On a personal review of Cash App borrow, I talked about how the fin tech saved me from embarrassment when my bank’s debit card declined. My Cash App borrow limit then was $150. Today, it is $350.
So, what changed, my dear weeklybagel reader?
The Cash App borrow limit depends on a number of factors as I mentioned on the review above. This includes how much direct deposit you are getting per month, or how much transactions you make on the same period. Usually, Cash App minimum borrow limit is $20. This is bumped as you meet its borrow requirements.
I know you can get up to $1110 in borrowing. Currently, the fin tech is telling me set up a direct deposit so it can bump me up by additional $150. Therefore, making my total borrowing limit $500.
With you, you can get way more than that. This is especially, when you are a Cash App green member. Simply put, you qualify by doing a +$350 monthly direct deposit or spending $500+ a month on your cash card.
Overdraft Limit On Cash App
There is an overdraft limit of $200 on Cash App. This is the most we can overdraft with our cash cards. Not everyone gets up to this amount, you have to qualify.
Most people start with a minimum of $25 overdraft. I wrote a guide on this, how to overdraft Cash App, which walks you through the overdraft process and limit. I advise you check it out.
Cash App Withdrawal Limit
There are cash withdrawal limits on Cash App. I have never personally hit them, because it is a huge. The limit on Cash App withdrawal is $25,000 weekly.
I do not know about you, but I know I will not be hitting this limit any time soon because I do not use the fin tech for heavy financial transactions. Now, Cash App does not specify whether this $25,000 weekly withdrawal limit is for all kinds of withdrawals. I said this, because I have noticed there are different kinds of withdrawals on Cash App.
You have the ATM, bank transfer and bitcoin withdrawals. Did you know that?
Yes, you can cash out of the fin tech by having money deposited instantly into another bank account. Also, you can just use an ATM machine to cash out raw cash. Or else, through bitcoin if you are working with the cryptocurrency.
Cash App Bitcoin Withdrawal Limit
If you are a bitcoin person which I am not, your withdrawal limit is $2000 per day. That is how you can withdraw in a 24 hour period. In a week, we are allowed to withdraw up to $7000 worth of bitcoin.
Personally, I have not used bitcoin or do any transaction with that form of currency. I still do not trust it, talk of doing withdrawing one by Cash App. But hey, that is my personal bias has nothing to do with you. You do you.
Cash App ATM Withdrawal Limit
Cash App withdrawal limit at ATM is $310 daily for some users. Others can get up to $1000 per day. Personally, I have been able to withdrawal more than $310 that some users are limited to.
The same daily $1000 Cash App ATM limit I mentioned also applies weekly. You cannot withdraw more than $1000 weekly. On a 30-day period, you can do up to $1250. This is the monthly Cash App atm limit.
The Cash App Sending Limit
Before I verified my personal information with Cash App, the Cash App sending limit is $1000 per month. After I verified financial information like social security, date of birth and full legal name, you can get up to $20,000 per week. You know why it does this, don’t you?
Well, it is a financial standard. Large transactions has to be done through a financial institution only when your information has been verified. This is due to IRS taxation purpose and fraud issues.
Cash App sending limit per month is $40,000. That is how much we are able to send to our friends and loved ones. But to get to this amount, the personal information I mentioned above has to be verified. Otherwise, you will only be limited to $1000 per month.
Cash App Deposit Limit
I have received more than $5000 in a single Cash App transaction before. That is how cool this financial technology is. The fin tech has different ways you can deposit money into your account. As a result, there are different limits to these different ways of putting money in your Cash App account.
Firstly, there is a Cash App deposit limit of $25,000 on direct deposit. This is per transaction. In a day, you can do $50,000 per day in direct deposits into your account.
Secondly, you can do up to $50,000 per day in receiving wire transfer. The Cash App wire transfer limit is two wires per week. You can receive only 4 wires per month.
I do not know if you knew, but you can deposit cash on Cash App. I know there is no physical bank, but there are Cash App reload locations around us where we can go to put money into our accounts. When it comes to depositing paper money, there is a Cash App deposit of $500 per deposit.
Also, we can deposit up to $5000 of paper money per week. There is a cap of $10,000 per month on paper money deposit. Personally, I let my bank handle big transactions rather than the fin tech. Not that I do not trust the fin tech, but I have a better relationship with my bank.
Speaking of handling big money, the maximum limit on adding money to your Cash App account is $20,000 per week. Now, that is what I would do with my bank. But, Cash App lets you add up to $40,000 per month.
Finally, there is a limit to how much checks we can deposit. We are allowed five check deposits per month. There is a check deposit limit of $3500 per deposit and $7500 per month on Cash App.
Cash Card Transaction Limits
When it comes to spending, we can only do $7000 per day through the cash card. No more than $10,000 per week. Lastly, there is a $25,000 limit cap on spending.
Meanwhile, daily credit transaction limit is $10,000. Withdrawal limit is at least $1000 per week. This is all I want you to be aware of, when using the cash card.
When Do Cash App Limits Reset?
Once we reach out limits on Cash App, we have to wait until it sets. How long does it take for Cash App limits to reset, my good reader?
Cash App limits reset daily at 7pm ET. The weekly limits reset on Saturday the same time too. The monthly limits reset on the last day of the month at 7pm ET.
On the whole, I believe you will have a wonderful experience of the app operating within these limits. Just be sure you do not reach them too early, otherwise it takes till the reset time for certain transactions to work. Having said that, the above is all I want you to know about Cash App limits.
