There is a Cash app limit on sending money to people. You can only send $250 weekly as an unverified user, but this can be increased when additional information is added on your account. By additional information here, I refer to your legal name, last four of your social security number and date of birth.
Once this additional information is added, you will be considered a verified user. Cash App will let you send up to $7,500 to anyone instantly. This is as long as he or she is in the same country as you.
Receiving Money By Cash App
You can receive money with Cash App. It is the new craze nowadays. This is the selling point of the app. Not only can you send money through Cash App, but also you can receive money without a bank account or debit card in place.

To receive money on Cash App for the first time, follow these steps:
- Give your cash id to the person about to send you money. Your id could be $cashtag, full name or email address. It is the only way such a person can send the money to the right account. Once the person sends the money, it will appear instantly on your account for you to cash out or use.
- Another way to receive money is to request money. Go to the dollar sign on the bottom of the app. Input the amount you want. Hit “Request” and you will be directed to another page where you put the name of the person you are requesting money from.
- If the person sends you money, it will appear the same way as any other person sending you money.
